Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis

Catholic Charities of St. Louis serves people in need, works to improve social condition and calls others to do the same. Together with our families of ministries we impact 100,000+ lives annually across 11 counties in the St. Louis metro area.  In 2022, more than 96,000 people benefited from their services. 56.9% of these people live below the poverty line. ($26,500 for a family of four.).   

Catholic Charities organizations and 900-plus volunteers are dedicated to serving men, women and children who do not have enough to eat; who lack adequate education, housing, or employment; who suffer the trauma of abuse or neglect.

The Academy of St. Louis

Founded and operated by Dunn Family (Ann and daughter Terri O’Daniels) of Incarnate Word Parish, this extraordinary operation specializing in providing a Catholic education to children with Asperger's syndrome (autism spectrum), ADHD, speech/language delays, and other cognitive disabilities. Presently the enrollment is 12 students. It’s located in the former Linda Vista Catholic School in Southwest Chesterfield.  You can find more information about this unique school at acadstl.org.

Annie’s Hope – The Center For Grieving Kids

Annie's Hope – The Bereavement Center for Kids provides comprehensive support services for children, teens, and their families, in the greater St. Louis region, who are grieving the death of someone significant.

Annie’s Hope serves kids ages 3-18 and their families through many programs including: Horizons – home-based grief support for families anticipating a death, Family Support Groups, School Support Groups, Crisis Intervention, Teen Retreats, Camp Courage, Family Social Events, Grief Referral Services, Speakers Institute, Community Resource Library, and their annual Hope & Healing Holiday Gathering.

All of the Annie’s Hope programs are offered at no cost to grieving families.  More information is available at annieshope.org.

Incarnate Word Parish School One Classroom Program

One Classroom is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit foundation dedicated to creating inclusive Catholic educational opportunities for children with special needs in the Saint Louis Archdiocese. We believe every child deserves a Catholic education in their local parish school in full community with their peers! Incarnate Word Parish School is one of the schools participating in the program.The mission of One Classroom is as follows:

  • Build Awareness & Promote inclusive Catholic education
  • Educate about inclusive learning
  • Support parish schools
  • Connect families & building a community
  • Provide access expert resources and practitioners
  • Create forums and opportunities to share best practices
  • Fundraise and provide funding to schools through grants
  • Welcome every child with special needs into our Catholic schools!
